Remote Training_- Mobile Classroom
The GTC offers a mobile classroom available upon coordination and scheduling to organizations wanting to bring geospatial training to their sites. Currently we offer both the Introduction to ArcGIS I & II courses taught using laptops funded through MOCAPS ’04 & ‘05.
Classes of 5-14 students
Provided at a location of the customer’s choosing but power for 15 laptops and a projector must exist - as must a blank wall or screen to project on. Prerequisites – minimum of 5 students (can be waived by previous discussion) registered and paid in advance. Instructor fees will be based on the same fee schedule provided to Missouri State Agencies – Per student - $300 for a 2-day course - $450 for a 3-day course) plus the Mobile Lab rental fee ($100 per day). Book fees will also be assessed but book S&H will be covered by the Administrative costs listed below. The per-student price will be adjusted for classes requiring overnight stays and covered under the “Instructor per Diem” costs.
Since there is no overnight travel associated with state agency training in Jefferson City - or nominally even the need for the mobile classroom to be deployed - instructor costs and books would remain $415 for a two day course and $620 for a three day course.
Should the use of the CAP mobile classroom be required then the applicable fees above would be assessed.

** 2 days instructor per Diem (Lodging, food and mileage – 2 days x $200) = $400/ 5 students = $80 per student.
A 3 day Introduction to ArcGIS II Mobile Class with 10 students–
Instructor Fee $450
Books and Materials $165
Admin. Costs* $ 45
Instructor per Diem** $ 60
Total cost per student $720

“Bargain Basement” Intro to ArcGIS I & II
If an organization provides the lab (systems), licenses, student registration and if no instructor per Diem is required i.e. - the proposed training site is within 100 miles of Columbia, Missouri) – then the GTC can offer its lowest prices.
Classes - Cost per student
Intro to ArcGIS I (2 days) $415
Intro to ArcGIS II (3 days) $620
This covers the instructor cost of $150 per day and the ESRI book set that each student keeps at $100 and $150 + S&H for each course respectively. The ESRI book costs are a direct ESRI expense to the instructors and volume purchase does not impact the price except to drive up shipping and handling costs.
Generally a minimum of 5 students is required – but occasional exceptions may be made – call or email to discuss a waiver of the minimum student requirements.

Rental - Mobile Classroom (CAP laptops) fee.
Per day fee for the mobile classroom - $150
The laptops must be rented under the auspices of courses offered through the GTC or the Geography Department.
Laptops must be returned the business day following the course unless prior arrangement is made.
